The builder

A Trilogy community by Shea Homes

Shea Homes builds Ocala Preserve under its Trilogy brand. Shea describes it as partially 55+: most of the community is intended for households with at least one person 55 or older, and select neighborhoods are open to all ages.

The homes are single story, in single-family and duplex designs. In November 2026 Shea listed plans from the 1,562-square-foot Evia, priced from $248,990, up to the 2,641-square-foot Latitude from $429,990, with several quick move-in homes available.

Estate Vida's review of 114 Stellar MLS listings from 2026 shows a median of $6,335 a year in HOA dues, about $528 a month. Townhomes and villas came in a little higher, at a median of $6,800 a year across 17 listings.

About 41% of listings with a known status report a CDD, with a median of $988 a year collected on the property tax bill.

That monthly number bundles several things. The community's membership guide explains that HOA dues cover common area maintenance, walking paths, trails, sidewalks, parks and pet-friendly areas.

Bulk services dues cover front, side and rear yard maintenance, including mowing, fertilizing and irrigation, plus internet and cable TV. Homes in the Resort Collection pay an extra sub-membership for periodic pressure washing and reserves for exterior painting and roof replacement.

The club

Club membership comes with the home

The Ocala Preserve Association acquired club membership rights for everyone who buys in the community, so each homeowner becomes a member of The Club at Ocala Preserve. The club is private and non-equity.

It's owned by The Club at Ocala Preserve, LLC and managed by BlueStar Resort & Golf, and the guide says members can't be assessed for club operating shortfalls or capital improvements.

When you sell, the buyer purchases a new sub-membership and you get a refund under the club's provisions. Ask for the current fee sheet on any home you're considering, since the guide notes that prices can change.

Amenities

Two resort clubs and the amenities

Oak House is the main resort club at about 17,000 square feet, and the newer Lake House adds about 4,200 square feet of gathering space. Between them you'll find the Salted Brick restaurant and bar, Rose Farm's Kitchen for cooking demos, the Alvea Spa, a full fitness center, a heated saltwater resort and lap pool, and the Eagle's Nest sport and media room with billiards and cards.

Outside, there are tennis, pickleball and bocce courts, a lakeside boardwalk, a bark park, an outdoor fitness module with a 200-meter rubberized track, and Shoreline Outfitter on Reflection Lake, where members can borrow kayaks, canoes, paddle boats and fishing gear.
